I feel sorry for the creator of this one. Eternity is a long time to deal with when there will be no hope. Dutchman; I hope you realize how much God loves you one day. God isn't "a man on a cloud" so before you categorize, try reading the Bible to discover who God Truly is. Also I am far from "stupid" and I do believe in God and have accepted Jesus as my Savior.

Testify brother.. At least believing in God is believing in something. I know I am not perfect by any stretch of the imagination, but it is nice to know that God still loves me.

You guys rock for standing up for your faith. Dutchman, Shaun is right by the way, Christians aren't dumb at all. I have an IQ of 168 and I'm at Bible College to teach the good news about Christ to students around the world. No it's not "logical" but it most definitely is real.

im sorry, dumb was a dumb word to use... I just have problems with the fact that 'Believers' need a book to tell them what is wrong and what is right. Men and women are created with a subconscious which tells you what's wrong and right. For instance, you know that killing is wrong, except for selfdefence of course, and only then when nescessary, but why do you need a book to tell you that? And even that book caused so much death; crusades, jihads, spanish inquisition all inspired and done by the church. Gays are wrong, women are less valuable than men, you can't use condoms, you can't have an abortion (even when you are raped or such). Have people to chose for themselfs, that's what i say.
Again i'm sorry to have said the word 'dumb'.
But i would like to have some reactions to this, just as a friendly debat or something?

Totally, why do you need a book to tell you what to do?Its not the smarted thing to do,you dont know, who wrote it(It wasnt Mosses,Mark,Luke, etc.)And god IS NOT REAL,where is god when people die,get raped or something.

To Dutchman and Atheist: I appreciate your willingness to allow me to express my viewpoint as well on this picture as well as my thoughts. I guess the best way to explain is this: Suppose you were given a job and you know nothing about the job. There was a book available to help explain how the job is done and your actions while doing that job. You would Trust that the author of that book knew what they were doing since you know little else about what your job was and you know that by reading that book, it will help guide you through the process of learning what you are supposed to do. I accepted Christ as my Savior and know that I'm supposed to act in a certain way (my job). I use a book (The Bible) that shows me how and trust in the author of that book (God) to give me the directions that I need. Without your book describing your job, you would be hopelessly lost. Without my book (The Bible), I would be the same. Reliance on man's thoughts on good behavior would definitely leave me hopelessly lost. I know that I have God, who loves me enough to send his Son to die for me and He gave us His Book to show us how to show love and care for others. As for the big question of "Where is God during...?", which you stated people die, get raped, etc.... The answer is that we live in a fallen world because of the sins of man. We were given free will because God does not want robots with no choice. Some people choose to follow God and some people choose to not do so. Would you want to live in a world with no choice? Probably not. God loves me, He loves you, and he wants us to willingly choose him. Again, I'm pretty intelligent and have read Darwin's theories and evolution. Even Darwin himself in his later years realized that his theory was very implausible. Every story in the Bible proves itself true, from the flooding of the Earth (they have found shells and ships on top of mountains) to every location of events (archeologists even use the Bible as a road map to locations), to even Jesus himself, which documentation of his existence comes from people who are not writers of the Bible. Again, I believe that the Bible was God Breathed and Inspired and man simply wrote down the events and what God lead them to do. God is there in every situation and allows man to choose and regretfully, man chooses to murder, man chooses to rape, man chooses to steal from others, etc...... You can say that it isn't right and I would agree, but that is the price of free will. God wants us to choose a life of Loving each other and Caring for each other, but sometimes some people choose to not do so. If you notice, nowhere in my argument do I challenge your intelligence or argue that you are in any way lesser than I am. I am simply someone who has chosen to follow God and I hope one day that you do also, but it is still your choice.
Be Blessed

thanks for replying, but you still haven't answered my question: why would you follow this religion, while they break their own rules. The book is used as an excuse for the spanish inqusition, these people tortured and murdered people, because they thought differently. And the Crusades, does your God really believes that it's ok to kill innocent arabs, because they live in a city that is supposed to belong to you?

#11 Shaun Brady says...

I think the best way to explain this would be to tell you that there are two sections in the Bible. The Old Testament and the New Testament. The Old Testament is everything that leads to the Birth of Jesus Christ, God's Son. It contains the History of how the mankind was to act and consider things. In it you will find all sorts of different laws and penalties of those laws as well as dealing with land, property possession and how the Nations of that time were to deal with each other. I believe every verse leads to the Birth of Jesus Christ, which is the start of the New Testament. Many cultures and many people use the Old Testament as a guidebook of behavior and that is their excuse for doing harm to other nations and tribes of people. In almost every religion, there will be zealots who read into anything. Muslim faith has a core contingency of peaceful people, but they have groups who believe highly in the verses to kill all infidels (those who aren't Muslim or follow their prophet Muhammed). But many Muslims do NOT do that. Throughout history, there have been groups who used the Bible for their own gain and followed the OLD Testament laws as an excuse to further their own agendas, hence the Spanish Inquisition, the Crusades, and even to present day, those who bomb abortion clinics. Now we come to the New Testament. Jesus Christ was born as an affirmation to the Law, but the original Law is to LOVE GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, SOUL, MIND, STRENGTH AND LOVE THY NEIGHBOR AS THYSELF. The New Testament tells about the Birth of Christ and how he serves as an atonement for sin. (by the way, the Old Testament and New Testament can also be called the Old Covenant and the New Covenant between man and God) Jesus brought the new Covenant.
Man's sin nature will ALWAYS use anything to further it's own desires, whether it be the conquest of lands and people groups, or the killing of innocents. This is not held to Christianity alone; you will find radical Muslims, Hindus, Buddhists, and any other religious groups. All of them believe their religion is justification for their behavior. You will not find actual Christians who believe this to be true. That is why you don't hear of Baptists, Methodists, Lutheran, Church of God, etc... taking over countries and killing innocent people to prove a point. You will see the radical (I call them nut-jubs) people (notice I didn't call them Christians) killing abortion Dr's, spewing hatred, and declaring the Old Testament as an excuse for abhorant behavior. There are even atheists who use their lack of belief as justification to harm others.
I know this may not be a total answer to your question, but whenever you add the prejudices and desires of man into the mix, purity of answer becomes confused. That is why I believe that God is the one true source and know that His word in the New Testament presents the Law in Love, not in rules. The True God brings Salvation and Life, not sin and death.

thanks again for replying, this answers almost all of my questions! I only have 1 left (i might have it wrong, but i haven't read the full bible yet): the jews don't believe in the new testament, for they don't believe that jezus is the son of god. So when you say that the old testament is used for hatred, i ask you: why is it than that the jews are actually the most peacefull religious people. They never killed people with other believes. Only now they are at 'war' because they were given a country, that already belonged to others.

gravatar
#13 Shaun Brady says...

Well, I didn't say that it was used for hatred by all. Only select people who try and have tried to gain power, property, and worldly things using some of the laws to impose their rule. The Old Testament is in itself, a roadmap leading to Jesus' arrival in the New Testament. I totally agree with you as for the Jewish Nation and I support them wholeheartedly. There is a group of Jews called the Messianic (sorry for the spelling) Jews who do believe that Jesus was the Son of God whose coming was foretold in the Old Testament. Mainly the ancient Roman Catholic and Greek Orthodox church were the biggest manipulators of Kings and were also greatly manipulated by Kings seeking to gain more and more power and misuse of the Laws in the Old Testament lead to centuries of fighting and millions of needless deaths. Luckily, that era has passed, but some still believe in using it today, but those are a very small minority of power seekers. I believe in telling others about God and Jesus and letting them make their own educated decisions, not in those who impose their beliefs on others to the point of violence or death. If I give my testimony and tell of the change that God has made in my life, then I have done what I was called to do: Love my God with all my heart, soul, strength, and mind as well as Love my neighbor as myself. I am the chief of sinners, but through God's Love by sending His Son, I have been and am forgiven. I hope you can see that I am in no way worthy of judging others, but it is my responsiblity to Love others as God Loved someone as unworthy as me.

I would just like to point out that, while you mentioned that some Muslims engage in acts of violence in the interest of "kill(ing) all infidels", you make no effort to divert the blame from some Muslims.

In the latter quote, you make great strides to show your claims that those who kill abortion doctors aren't "actual Christians".

It could be said that these actions would make the "Muslims" not "actual Muslims", much like how you say that "Christians" who engage in these behaviors aren't "actual Christians".

Unfortunately i would be obliged to point out that this is evidence of the sub-conscious animosity that belongs to both Muslims and Christians.

I'm not saying that this may be your personal views, but as a whole, it is unarguably true that Muslims and Christians historically dislike each other.

If everyone were to recognize that everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and that it is neither their right, or their duty to impose their beliefs on others, then the world would be much less violent.

But it is apparent that this is not the case, nor will it ever be the case

wow, it's been a few weeks since I've been on this site at all, and to check in on this conversation I'm really impressed on two things.
1. Shaun, your willingness to share the gospel is something very rare. Most people look at Christians as hypocrites because they hide behind false faces. It's good to see your openness and honesty, along with a passion to share the good news. Also your knowledge of the Bible, it shows that you've done your research, and it's good that you can defend your faith. very impressed.

2. Dutchman, you rock for asking questions at all. Most people that knock Christianity do so because they don't want to sacrifice anything, or admit that something they are doing is wrong. You've been awesome to ask questions that show that you're not so much opposed to the belief system as you are ignorant (in the way of non-understanding, not being rude). I'm glad you've taken to the time to ask educated questions. I hope that even though it may seem strange, you've come to a better understanding of it all.

I'm really impressed with all of y'all. Shaun, thank you very much. A few of the questions Dutchman asked I had been curious about myself. I'm a Christian and I have a strong belief in god, but being a human, I have questions and doubts. I'd like to reiterate shaun's point that it isn't God behind those crimes, it is man. We have been given free will because if we have no choice, we cannot truly have faith. Mankind is easily lured by temptation, and Satan happily provides it for us. Anger, jealously, distrust, and hate are not Godly emotions and God has no hand in them.

By the way, Dutchman, just a technicality, Jews only believe in the first 5 books of the bible. Genesis, exodus, numbers, Leviticus, and Deuteronomy, I think. I'm no theologan, in fact I'm still in middle school, but I felt the need to comment on the maturity with which everyone here has handled this. Dutchman, I hope that you have been converted to the Christian faith. If not, I hope Jesus finds you at some point in your life.

Adam and Eve commited Original Sin, and for that, all of humanity is born in sin. Then the Holy Bible and Holy Qur'an both say that children will not be held accountable for the crimes and trespasses (which both texts later contradict) commited by their father and mother. Assuming that you believe that the first man and woman commited Original Sin, and assuming that we are their decendants, how can we be born in to sin when both Holy Texts say we can't be held accountable for the actions of our predecessor?

To izzyssm,

I am a Christian, and completely agree with you that there is no "mystical bearded man who lives in clouds that grants wishes." If you are using that to describe the God of the Christian Bible, however, I will start to disagree.

Allow me to give a defense for the God of the Christian Bible and His characteristics without even using the Bible. First and foremost, there is the highly supported theory that the universe had a beginning and the fact that everything that has a beginning has a cause. This "beginning" is known as the Big Bang. Based on things such as the Second Law of Thermodynamics (which says that a- the universe is running out of energy, almost like a dying flashlight and b- the universe is going from an orderly state to a state of chaos), the data from Edwin Hubble's experiments that shows that the universe is expanding, the radiation discovered by scientists Penzias and Wilson in 1965 and for which they won the Nobel Prize in 1978, the variation in this radiation, and Einstein's equations concerning general relativity, it is astronomically probable that the universe had a beginning in the form of an explosion. Since everything that has a beginning has a cause, then what caused the Big Bang? The only possible answer is something that a- has no beginning, b- is immaterial, timeless, and spaceless, c- unimaginably powerful to the point where he/she/it/whatever you would like to call it can create out of nothing and d- personal, in order to choose to create.

Continued from my previous comment:

The same as the bottom half. The second type of RNA would read the letters/proteins in groups of three and make a chain of proteins based on that. So if it saw ACG, GGC, and CTT, it woudl call on different proteins for each of those groups. There is even a specific group of three proteins that tells the RNA to stop making proteins. This system is fascinatingly, almost frighteningly complex. There are 20 different proteins that can be used and the odds of the chance formation of even one of those proteins is 1 in 100,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 (1 in 10 raised to the 113th power). Saying that this and all the other organelles that are present in cells, as well as the cells' ability to divide, happened by chance compares to this example: Say I saw a Scrabble game and decided to open it and spell out the words "demotivational posters are awesome" and you came in and asked me why I spelled out those words. If I were to tell you that I kicked the game off of a shelf, it opened, and the letters that spelled out the words "demotivational posters are awesome" arranged themselves directly on the spaces for letters and facing the same direction happened by chance, you woud most liekly consider me to be stupid and not believe me. The ame logic applies here: too much complexity is in the DNA system for it to have happened by chance. The intelligent cause of this system has to have been or be incredibly intelligent in order to design something this complex and he/she/it/w.e. has to have had/have purpose in creating something this complex. In the Scrabble example I used, my motive for making the letters spell out "demotivational posters are awesome" may have been for fun, but when you get into something as complex as this, purpose for a design is a more plausible explanation than complete lack of purpose for it.

Last one:

The final part of my defense is perhaps the most mysterious and hardest part to give evidence for, but I have help: quotes from none other than C.S. Lewis. In his book titled Mere Christianity, he writes, "[As an atheist] my argument against God was that the universe seemed so cruel and unjust. But how had I got this idea of just and unjust? A man does not call a line crooked unless he has some idea of a straight line. What was I comparing this universe with when I called it unjust?" A common objection to the existence of a God that people have is that the world is so wrong and evil. But when you say that the world is evel and wrong, you inply a standard of good and right by which you can determine evil and wrong, which would have to exist outside of this world. Another point that supports morality is that people make excuses for doing wrong. Another quote from C.S. Lewis, again from Mere Christianity, explains this nicely. "It seems then that we are forced to believe in a real Right and Wrong. First, human beings all over the earth have this curious idea that they ought to behave in a certain way. Second, they do not in fact behave in that way. The truth is, we believe in decency so much that we cannot bear to face the fact that we are breaking it, and consequently we try to shift the responsibility." When you try to justify something wrong by making it seem right, you go back to that moral standard that must exist outside of us. From this argument for an objective moral standard, we can conclude that the cause of this standard is morally pure and perfect, lovign and just and that he/she/it/w.e. is personal, in order to give this standard to all individual humans.

So, from my long stand, we can determine that the cause of the universe, life and its complexity, and morality 1. is immaterial, timeless, spaceless, unimaginably powerful, personal and has no beginning 2. is incredibly intelligent and has purpose and 3. is morally pure and perfect. If you read the Bible, I think you'll find that the God present in that book matches the aforementioned characteristics. Please read the book "I Don't Have Enough Faith To Be An Atheist" by Norman L. Geisler and Frank Turek for more information.

Scott-

All the arguments you have presented have been refuted. Irreducible complexity and the Kalam Argument have been shot to hell with holes. My counter arguments would be to long to list in even 10 comments here, but I will invite you to your own research, information can be found everywhere!

Go on YouTube and watch Thunderf00ts videos, specifically the "Why do people laugh at creationists" series for an idea and go from there.

As for the infallibility of God, how can we call a being that enacts mass genocide morally perfect? Over 2,000,000 people were killed in the bible from God's acts alone (the website that counted the number killed escapes me at the moment). Then lets not forget that God also essentially "bets" the Devil about Job's faith, and tries to get another man to kill his son, just to see if he will obey him. To put it another way, is something moral because God commanded it, or is it commanded by Him because it is moral?

"We are all Atheists, I just believe in one less God than you do"

-Author Unknown

I can't say that there is no God, to say that there is absolutely no God with any certainty out of the thousands os possible Gods would be foolish and can't be scientifically proven. I can without fear however, say that the Christian God is most certainly a bronze age myth.

Look at the roots of Christianity in the age when it was founded. It was little more than a cult in a sea of other more powerful cults. It rose to prominence because of it's appeal to the poor and weak, the majority of the population of it's time.

If there is a God, I would love to believe, and out of the thousands of possible Gods it is impossible to say there isn't one with any scientific certainty. Christianity however, is most certainly a myth.

gravatar
#33 Scott says...

Why is the Chrisitan god a myth?

gravatar
#34 Joey Joe Joe says...

Because the Christian God can't "live" up to the ideals upon which the entire religion was founded.

Then there is the complete lack of objective, empirical evidence, the holy text that is riddled with holes / lies and contradictions and the holy members of the faith that are completely hypocritical.

All of these combined present a compelling case against Christianity.

I would like to reiterate that I am not saying that there is no God, it is certainly possible that one exists. I am saying that in my opinion the Muslim / Christian and Jewish are myths.

......Ten bucks says some jack ass religious zealot either condemns me to hell or tells me he will pray for me... as if that means something to someone that doesn't believe. Even saying it to a non believer is intentially confrontational and an attempt to goad someone....

gravatar
#35 Joey Joe Joe says...

Scott-

Another way of putting this....

How is the Christian God not a myth, and the one and true God, while all others are myths?

And no, you can't use the Bible as evidence, because the new testament was written no earlier than 30 years after the fact, by authors that can't be confirmed as witness', that has been heretically changed and altered thousands of times.

Besides, if you use the Bible to prove your God, then every other religion would be just as valid and justified in using their religious texts to prove their God.

gravatar
#36 Scott says...

I have presented the evidence for the existence of the Christian God; here is another, shorter, summary.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YgJmsK2s0uI

As for what you said about the "members of the faith being completely hypocritical", are you saying that non-Christians are not hypocrites, have not said one thing and done another? And, when did the people of a religion determine the characteristics of the deity that they follow?

I would also appreciate it if you could provide some contradictions in the Bible and evidence that "the Christian God cannot "live" up to the ideals" of Chrisitanity. And, if you could back up what you said about the original copies being changed into the Bible we read today, I would be happy to recieve that information.

Oh, and sorry I could not respond sooner; I was at camp.

gravatar
#37 Joey Joe Joe says...

Scott,

You haven't presented evidence, you have presented arguments that have been refuted time and time again. I would like to say I am not trying to deconvert you, and I appreciate that you are keeping the discussion civil. Many people wouldn't.

Example of contradiction-

In one apostles story, after betraying Jesus, Judas throws down the silver he gets as payment and hangs himself in a field. In another apostles story, Judas takes the silver, buys a field, and spills his guts on a rock.

Of course people that are not religious are hypocritical, but if one of the underlying tenants of a religion is honesty and purity, and the leaders of that faith cannot follow that basic tenant, it speaks volumes to the validity of the faith. Of course you could argue in turn that those people are weak and speak to the need for God, or that they are exercising their free will, but if God already knows everything we will do before it is done, is there free will?

I say that God can't live up to his ideals through the very things in the Bible. God enacting global genocide, allowing kings of Egypt to unknowingly wed Abrahams wife (I think it was him, not sure) and then punishing the king as opposed to Abraham for the deceit. If you tabulate all the people killed by God in the Bible it amounts to over 2 million people ( I forgot the website stating this, should be easy to Google).

The Bible has been changed, and books have been left out. Early church leaders left out books they deemed heretical, and adaptations of the Bible have obvious changes through the years.

I would first like to respond to your statement that you are not trying to "deconvert" me. I thank you as well for keeping this discussion respectful and friendly and I appreciate that you can back up what you are saying. I will look at the links you have shown me; I have seen a few of the "Why People Laugh at Creationists" videos and it seems like a lot of the videos' statements are directed at claims that people could have articulated differently or done more research on.

As for the Old Testament stories you have brought my attention to, I will look at and research those. I have already researched the flood and Noah's ark and have found this article to be very helpful: http://www.biblearchaeology.org/post/2006/06/28/Why-Did-God-Send-the-Flood.aspx

I will also research your various other statements such as the morality of the church leaders and the stories of Judas.

I would love to correspond by email. I am curious about something that you might not be comfortable answering, and if so, I understand: You seem to have had a lot of experience with Christianity and the church. I would be interested to know what your experience, if any, with Christianity has been like.

Thank you again, and have a great day as well.

Scott,

I haven't had a chance to look at your link, but I will!

Admittedley, the "Why do People Laugh at Creationists" is more of a debunking series than deep theoligcal theory, it serves as more of a spotlight on some of the claims that are presented in a more dubious manner. The other series are more of a theoligcal look at religion, where the "WDPLAC" series is supposed to be more funny.

I will admit that I am rusty on some of my ideas, but I will do my best to present accurate claims. For instance, when I speak of the morality of the Church, I am speaking more of the infant years of Christianity, and even then some of it is more geared towards Catholics.

I would be more than happy to answer your question, although my answer would be a bit long winded for this site...haha

Back in the day, if you said God was talking to you, people would start following you around and believe every word you say. Nowadays, they would throw you into the looney bin. I have my own beliefs about God. Ever heard of Theistic Evolution? That's right. I am mixing Evolution and Christianity. And you know what? I am happy as can be. I have good morals and i accept people for who they are. Don't go on a rant about people being stupid because they have something to believe in. And don't critisize people because they don't believe in what you believe. Humans were given free will for a reason. Now EXERCISE IT!

Anon001-
Just curious, how do you know you are a Christian if you never read the Bible?

People have the right to believe in what they want to.

Religion is a fail, I have an IQ of 187 and am a strong atheist. Once you are smart enough to not be tricked by someone into believing in religion then you will be an atheist too.

People just stop its stupid he's not real. How could one person do everything and start something out of nothing. Just stop. Greek or Roman mythology is plenty more believable than the Bible

I love when people call religious people idiots.....mock them....then declare that they are athiests. If you don't believe in any religion, why would you tie yourself to a name with religious connontations? Why do you have to be anything? I absolutely hate when people find out that im not religious and autofukingmatically assume that I am athiest. Everyone has the right to believe in whatever they choose, even if I believe that you have to be the biggest idiot on the planet to believe in any of that fary-tale bs.

P.S. My favorite part was when all your children were (and probably still are) getting mollested by the so called priests.

Ten Foot Cock and a few Hundred Virgins

So you're gonna live in Paradise,
With a ten-foot cock and a few hundred virgins.
So you're gonna live in Paradise,
With a ten-foot cock and a few hundred virgins,
So you're gonna sacrifice your life
For a ride on a UFO,
And when the Lord comes down with his shimmering chariot of salvation,
You're gonna be the first to know.

And so if...
God was there from the very beginning
He invented men and women,
Then He also invented wanking,
Then He said wanking was sinning.
So if I'm feeling randy
I'm not allowed to hand-shandy,
But having sex with my family,
That is just f_cking great.
It's all there in Ezekial 8,
Just before He opens up His big pearly gate,
And says that it's a sin
To take it up the date,
Even if it's great,
Even with your mate.

So you're gonna live in Paradise,
With a ten-foot cock and few hundred virgins,
So you're gonna sacrifice your life
For a shot at the greener grass,
And when the Lord comes down
With his shimmering rod of judgement,
He's gonna kick my heathen arse.

So if you...
Cover the bodies of your women
Everybody is grinning,
Because black is so slimming,
Though it's not great for swimming.
But it gives me an erection,
With the increased sexual tension,
What with the U.V. protection
That is second to none.
You'll find it all in the Quran
Just next to the bit that justifies guns,
And says that it's a sin
To take it up the bum,
Even if it's fun,
Even in the scrum.

Ten Foot Cock and a few Hundred Virgins
(continued, because of that f-cking word limit)

So you're gonna live in Paradise
With a ten-foot cock and a few hundred virgins,
So you're gonna sacrifice your life
For a shot at eternity,
And when the Lord comes down
And I haven't done my penance,
He's gonna disembowel me.

You say that...
If I...
Stumbled on a watch I'd assume it had a watchmaker,
That a muffin presupposes a baker,
So you must agree sooner or later,
That this proves that there's a creator.
So if I put my foot in a stinker,
You'd assume the existence of a sphincter,
Thus you don't need to be a great thinker
To coclude that God's a bum,
Which negates the words of Genesis 1
Which made Him out to be so much fun,
Until Adam succumbed
To temptation,
And then His only son
Got nailed to a gum,
Or the Middle-Eastern equivalent,
Which suggests that God's omniscience
Is nullified by His ambivilance,
Unless it turns out that He's impotent,
And if God can't get a boner,
I guess that explains the plethora
Of huge erections in His honour -
Because we all know a steeple's just a subconscious compensatory manifestation of a huge stiff penis -
Still He tells us that it's heinous
To stick a penis up your anus,
Even if you're famous,
Even if you're good at tennis.

So you're gonna live in Paradise
Witha ten-foot cock and a few hundred virgins,
So you're gonna sacrifice your life
For a ride on a UFO,
And when the Lord comes downwith his big stiff rod of justice,
I'm gonna be the first to go,
He's gonna send me down below,
He's gonna whip me like a cotton-pickin' negro,
I'm gonna be the first to go.
